The Weblog

The Online Market is open for ordering from 8 AM Wednesday till 8 PM on Thursday.
Spring time is upon us again. The planting of vegetables and flowers is in full spead as we work to provide an aboundance of fresh new products. Please feel free to make your selections from the great products available this week.

Remember the New Customer Referral Program
From March 20 through June 30

How it Works
1. Tell a friend about the CUMMING HARVEST farmers market.
2. Have them register at cumming.locallygrown.net. (the market managers will contact all new customers to ask who referred them)
3. After their third purchase (3 different weeks), your credit will be applied to your account.
Thank you for sharing your love of healthy food and for helping to support our local growers!

This Week at The Cumming Harvest

We are

My Daily Bread has all Jams and Jellies $1 off this week!

Garden Zeal

Garden Zeal has listed several transplants ready for your garden. Organic Cantaloupe, Persimmon Heirloom Tomato, Crookneck Heirloom Yellow Squash, Verte Organic / Heirloom Patty Pan Squash.

Phoenix Gardens

Phoenix Gardens Welcome back to the market! We are happy to have Brennan and Gwendolyn Washington with Phoenix Gardens selling with us again. Two years ago their backyard family farm and personal home suffered a devastating fire that wiped out everything. They have spent the last two years rebuilding and now have an abundance of produce ready to offer the market. Phoenix Gardens

Heirloom Gardens

Heirloom Gardens Have you ever grown your own heirloom tomato? They are easy to grow if you get Paula to start the plant for you. She’s got heirloom tomato plants and veggie plants for sale online and they are ready to be put into the ground or in a pot. A tomato from the store doesn’t compare to a homegrown heirloom tomato.

Ancient Awakenings is listing online this week.

Watsonia Farms is selling Organic Strawberries and Asparagus. Organic strawberries are not sprayed so they’re shelf life is shorter than store bought. As soon as you get these strawberries home, if you don’t eat them all on the way, dip them into a bath of cool water and a tablespoon of vinegar, then rinse again. They are fragile so handle them gently. You can freeze them or use them immediately but don’t expect them to last a week. They are delicious!

Indian Creek Angus will deliver again on May 6th. You can place orders for them and pre-pay each week, then pick up when they deliver on May 6th. http://www.indiancreekangus.com/

Carrell Farms & Buffalo Gal will deliver again on May 13th. You can place orders for them and pre-pay each week, then pick up when they deliver on May 13th.
