Eggs - Large & X Large & JumboGrower: Weedy Soil Farm LLC
Price: $6.00 ( Dozen )Available (Exact): 0
My chickens are fed organic feed, supplemented by extra veggies from my garden and whatever bugs they can catch. We have too many predators around here, so I’ve only been letting them out of their mobile coops a couple days each week. On those days they are free to roam wherever they like, with 15 acres to explore. The eggs are still good, but the chickens are sadder.
.
Each box will contain a mix of large, extra large and jumbo brown eggs, in whatever proportion the hens lay. It varies from day to day. I label each egg (with a wax pencil) with the date it was laid as well as the egg size. If I know which chicken actually laid it, I will add that chicken's name, too.

Eggs- Mixed- 8 AA Grade-Large-Free Range-Brown/Blue/Green Assorted plus 4 Duck EggsGrower: Vintage Farms
Price: $6.50 ( 1 dozen )Available (Exact): 0
Now you can get a mixed carton of 8 of our chicken eggs and 4 duck eggs, a great way to try duck eggs and still getting chicken eggs. In 2018 we decided to raise our own hens for eggs and choose heritage breeds including Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Olive Eggers and Americanas which lay eggs with different colored shells such as brown, pink, blue green and speckled, often with rich, distinctive flavors. Eggs are collected multiple times daily and are fresh and delicious with healthy bright orange yolks. We 100% candle our eggs (holding the egg before a light to see the inside of the egg for defects), wash if dirty and refrigerate. Most of our eggs are AA Grade, the highest possible.
Our hens free-range every day to do what comes naturally, like roost, scratch, and socialize, even with our horses, ducks, cats and dogs. They eat seeds, insects and greens, receive a grain feed supplement and fruits and vegetables from our garden (they especially like pansy flowers, strawberries and tomatoes). We never give our hens hormones or antibiotics or dream of putting them in a cage. So, of course, they give us exceptional eggs.

Eggs-Duck-AA Grade-Large-Free RangeGrower: Vintage Farms
Price: $4.50 ( 1/2 Dozen )Available (Exact): 0
In 2019 we added Khaki Campbell and Rouen ducks to our flock for eggs. Eggs are collected multiple times daily and are fresh and delicious with healthy bright orange yolks. We 100% candle our eggs (holding the egg before a light to see the inside of the egg for defects), wash if dirty and refrigerate. Our duck eggs are AA Grade, the highest possible.
Ducks eggs contain more vitamin D, more healthy Omega-3 Fatty Acids and protein and also make fluffier cakes, taller meringue peaks, and lighter cookies. The secret is in the higher protein content of duck egg whites than in chicken egg whites, which makes them easier to cook with.
Our ducks free-range every day to do what comes naturally, foraging for insects, swim in their pools and socialize with our chickens, cats and dogs.
