The Weblog

The Online Market is open for ordering from 8 AM Wednesday till 8 PM on Thursday.
Spring time is upon us again. The planting of vegetables and flowers is in full spead as we work to provide an aboundance of fresh new products. Please feel free to make your selections from the great products available this week.

Remember the New Customer Referral Program
From March 20 through June 30

How it Works
1. Tell a friend about the CUMMING HARVEST farmers market.
2. Have them register at cumming.locallygrown.net. (the market managers will contact all new customers to ask who referred them)
3. After their third purchase (3 different weeks), your credit will be applied to your account.
Thank you for sharing your love of healthy food and for helping to support our local growers!

This Week at The Cumming Harvest

This Week

Again…We are very low on eggs this week. Chickens are so finicky about when and why they will lay, we think it must be the change in the weather this time. The one item we all want but can’t make it produce!

Welcome Nature’s Kitchen, LLC to the market! They sell a Jerk BBQ sauce and marinade that is gluten free, contains no High Fructose Corn Syrup and does not contain soy sauce.

Heirloom Gardens has listed Ginger this week. The ideas are endless for ginger, young ginger root can go just about anywhere. Here are some quick ideas… Stir fry…or *grated on our salad greens *salad dressing *candied *pickled *grated with grated carrots *home-brewed ginger ale *ginger glaze for meat *home-brewed ginger champagne *morning breakfast drink *tea *in baked goods like gingerbread.

Shrimp Remember if you’re ordering shrimp THIS week, you’ll pick up December 10th. If Shrimp is the only item you’re ordering, please pay online. Thank you!

Carrell Farms & Buffalo Gal is delivering once a month but you may order throughout the month. Their next delivery and pickup for you will be on November 12th.

Heritage Farms still has some turkey’s available. Organic, pasture-raised turkey is very hard to find, not to mention LOCAL, organic, pasture-raised turkey!

My Daily Bread has some specials listed in the “Weekly Specials” category.

Java Genesis will be back in a few weeks.

River Bank Farm has listed what they call “wild turkeys”. The turkeys live, forage and sleep on several wild acres of personal property in Dawson county.
